Terre Armée offers a complete protection systems package against erosion, rockfall, unstable rock and loose rock slopes, landslides, debris flow and avalanches.

Reinforced Earth®

With the increase in potential for industrial explosions, fire and pollution, the use of the Reinforced Earth® technique for vital structures designed to protect against such hazards has been a logical extension of our technology. Reinforced Earth® structures are commonly used to counter dangerous natural forces like avalanches, tsunami defences and magma flows.

TerraDyke™

The combined forces of water and water borne debris require special attention while designing structures in coastal areas. TerraDyke™ is a custom-made, state-of-the-art technique developed as a protective structure for coastal and marine works. TerraDyke™ structures are used as core for breakwaters, groins and spurs. Geotextile tubes are a part of the TerraDyke™ technology in which hydraulic fill or dredged spoil is pumped into these structures often to replace the armours as cores. TerraDyke™ structure aprons and anti-scour structures are efficient in protection from underwater currents and wash-outs.

TerraDyke™ is also used in environmental applications to contain disposable wastes and unwanted dredged fills. We offer holistic solutions for containment of dredged wastes.

TechRevetment®

TechRevetment® is a pre-engineered factory costumed grouted mattress system used for permanent erosion protection works. Depending upon project requirements, design considerations and specific application, the type of fabric form is designed and pre-fabricated at the factory and delivered to job sites. This technology is used to protect embankments (dry or wet), protect bridge abutments against scour, and used for flood bank and bed protection of major rivers and waterways, lining of canals and for mining and industrial erosion protection and lining applications. This system can be installed at rapid speed and under water without the need for dewatering.

TerraMattresses™

TerraMattresses™ is a corrosion free polymer based erosion control system designed to replace conventional rip-raps or wet stone pitching. This system is often used on slopes to construct boulder or soil in-filled semi-rigid crates and large bags to prevent water front induced erosion. The integral behaviour and monolithic containment of the structure provides an efficient erosion control tool for protection against flash floods, up to moderate wave attacks and run-ups.

TerraGreen™

TerraGreen™ is a custom designed an erosion control mat / blanket useful for protecting dry and intermittently wet and erodible slopes. Debris flows and shallow landslides are highly mobile liquefied landslides caused by excessive water flowing over the surface and within slopes, due to rainfall, glacier melts, and shock induced movements. TerraGreen™ as a stand-alone technique or mixed with other solutions like TerraNail® or TerraAnchor™ and high-tensile steel netting is often used to mitigate low to medium grade surface erosions and soil slips and slides.

TerraBund™

TerraBund™ is a protection bund used when fences and rockfall barriers become insufficient. Situations in which rock impact exceeds 5000 kJ, embankment-type structures are recommended to intercept falling blocks. TerraBund™ is a gravity structure built using soil reinforcement and flexible or semi-rigid facing systems. It can be used to build narrow protective embankments with a limited footprint and a very high energy absorption capacity. TerraBund™ passive protection system is used typically as a geo-hazard solution against rock falls, avalanches, debris flow and mud slides. It can withstand more than 8000 kJ of impact energy in the event of landslide or rock fall. The embankment slope can be steepened up to 90°and can also be faced with rock or vegetation to blend with the landscape.

ReMain™

ReMain™ is a specific selection of techniques used to maintain, strengthen and upgrade Reinforced Earth® structures. Terre Armée can take up restoration and strengthening of existing structures (typically retaining structures, bridge abutments, wing walls and return walls). In this specialized activity, we make a health check of the structure and back calculate the loads and stresses that can lead to structural risk behaviour or compromise structural safety for the existing design or new intended use of the structure. The durability, service life and performance of the affected structure can be significantly improved using this approach.

TechShelter™

Rockfall is an inherent hazard of mountainous terrains, which jeopardizes life and property and threatens the smooth operations of traffic lines. TechShelter™ is a perfect custom-designed solution of pre-cast arch box (TechBox™ and TechSpan®) for sheds and shelters, tailor made to suit these site conditions. The pre-cast technology is one of the most reliable, cost-effective system available for cut ‘n’ cover structure.

TA Barrière™

TA Barrière™ is a safety barrier or fence made of materials from metallic, non-metallic and / or composite origin. It is primarily applied to arrest and catch falling particles like rocks, boulders, shooting stones, debris, flowing or falling due to natural disasters or man-made reasons. TA Barrière™ are support systems to hold these disintegrating and falling particles and avoid damages to infrastructure and prevent disruptions like traffic blockages or incidents and accidents. TA Barrière™ has an ability to withstand energy impacts typically up to 5000KJ.
